Factory Arcade, a company specialized in making arcade machines, commissioned us to conceptualize and design the ‘Blue Dream’, a limited edition of 10 units of their flagship product: King Arcade Slim.
The main objective was to achieve a singular machine, different from their range of products, usually themed with graphic resources extracted from the most popular arcade games. The challenge consisted in finding an aesthetic solution that would please arcade machine lovers while not using specific gaming imagery.
The project went further than customising the arcade machine. We also designed a logo, a visual identity and a communication tone. Finally, we did the interface menus, a video for the screened marquee and two ads for gaming magazines.
